Astrid is a portraiture Artist who works in Oil. She is fascinated by human expression and experience. Working from photographs she explores the subtle nuances within expressions and how personality can be translated through paint onto canvas.

As a graduate from Bath Spa University in 2010 she has continued to paint and exhibit since. The act of painting and the process is a world in which Astrid gets lost and fuels her to continue to make work. She is heavily inspired by surrounding creativity, music and performance and her paintings are a celebration of that.
