Isobel Chedgey

I graduated from Falmouth University in 2018 with a BA Hons in Illustration. I also completed 2 years of Textile Design before moving courses and this still has a big influence on my work.
My work often starts by gathering lots of old magazines and other papers. I love using found materials as inspiration for colour palettes and textures. I will then use these as well as marker pens and paint to bring my design to life. I like the sense of depth and movement that hand collage brings to my imagery. I don’t usually stick anything down until the very end - so this also allows for plenty of play and experimentation. Some of my favourite things to create are patterns, characters and at the moment I’m enjoying experimenting with typography also.
